Injury ahoy!!
Hmm I have been suffering with a bad neck for the last 3 days. I thuink my 5 mile run on Sunday has pushed it too far and can barely move it now. I think I may have to take it easy for teh rest of the week. Im also going to be in the market for some running kit soon as my old stuff simpoly wont do the job. Anyone got any ideas?? Im usin Saucony omni 8 shoes which are excellent. Im a big lover of Saucony. But nor sure what to go with for the rest of my gear. Wouldnt be without my water bottle belt though. Thats a life saver on any run in particular when I start hiotting decent mileage.

Marathon training begins now!!
Well thats it. Ive been accepted for a place in the Asthma Uk running team for the Virgin London marathon. The intial excitement of being able to finally acheive one of my dreams has eased and the realisation of what I have taken on is setting in. Words such as " Oh Crap" spring to mind.
Its going to be a long journey getting my training in but I cant wait. This blog is about my training and the trial and tribulations I will be facing. I will also be hoping to put down some kit reviews. Pass on any butrition advice I get and advertise my fundraising.
Obviously Iwill appreciate any posts people can place on here. Wether from fellow runners, supporters or asthma sufferers. Asthmatics suffer in silence mostly and would be great to create a forum where we can all talk. Running changed my asthma in to something I could manage. I went from being so skinny I was bullied immensly to having a good job in the police, a wonderful partner 2 kids and my health. Im lucky but the 5.4 million peple in this country who have asthma sometimes aren't as lucky.
Anyway time to go eat after my run this morning. 5 miles on a drissly Sunday morning. Perfect! I hope you enjoy this page as it grows and please remember that any donations can be logged at
